Jakub Ciężki

Jakub Ciężki was born in 1979 in Lublin - where he lives and works. In his artistic practice, he explores the fields of visual perception by exploring painterly ways of visualising given objects. Through the use of a variety of perspectives - close-ups, distances, photographic ways of framing images from below and above, as well as from multiple angles - he discovers new dimensions to their perception. His painting is characterised by photorealistic illusion.
