Monika Misztal

Monika Misztal (born in 1986 in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski) is an expressionist painter who uses grotesque exaggeration as well as spectacular colour contrasts to establish a plane of her own experience. She studied at the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow (2008-2012) and at the Image Concept Studio at the Faculty of Media Art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (2018-2021).

Monika Misztal's works can be found in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, mBank's ‘m jak malarstwo’, the KAF Collection, the Starak Family Foundation Collection and the Omenaa Foundation, as well as in private art collections in Poland. In 2020, she received an art scholarship from the City of Warsaw in the field of visual arts.
