Gorączniak

Wojciech Gorączniak was born in 1976 in Poznań. He is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań (currently the Magdalena Abakanowicz University of Arts). He graduated in 2001 with a degree in painting. Since 2008, he has been working at his alma mater as a professor at UAP. From 2016 to 2018, he was head of doctoral studies at the Faculty of Painting and Drawing. Since 2016, he has been leading the 8th Painting Studio.

He works with drawing, painting and artistic objects. He is the author of solo exhibitions and participant in many group exhibitions at home and abroad. As a curator of exhibitions, he has collaborated with the University Library Gallery UAM and the Piekary Gallery in Poznań. He has exhibited his works at, among others, the Arsenal City Gallery in Poznań, the Municipal Art Centre in Gorzów Wlkp., Galeria Naprzeciw in Poznań, Haus am Lützowplatz in Berlin, and the Contemporary Art Museum Ise in Japan.
