Dominik Lejman FOUR (after Chełmoński)

MOLSKI gallery invites you to the opening of Dominik Lejman's ‘Four (ater Chełmoński)’, which will take place on 7 March 2025 at 6pm.

The exhibition will refer to the Poznan edition of the exhibition ‘Józef Chełmoński 1849 - 1914’, which previously took place at the National Museum in Warsaw.

The vernissage at the National Museum in Poznań will take place on 6 March 2025. You are welcome!

Four (after Chełmoński) is a social metaphor, a self-actualising image that requires no commentary. For me, Chełmoński made visible the ever-present quintessence of ‘Polish madness’ in one ‘mad frame’. Inspired by the painting, its formal and semantic content, I created an analogue, which is a monumental trace - a lack, a poetic screen acquiring meaningful force in the clash of the displayed slogans.
