OPENING OF THE EXHIBITION "JAN TARASIN. SEQUENCES OF MEANINGS" 23.03.2023

Last Thursday, March 23, 2023, at 6:00 PM, we inaugurated the long-awaited retrospective exhibition “Jan Tarasin. Chains of Meanings” at MOLSKI gallery&collection.

This new exhibition in our space, dedicated to the outstanding classic of Polish contemporary art, Professor Jan Tarasin, received a very positive response. After all, it is the first solo exhibition of Jan Tarasin in Poznań in over 15 years.

At the opening, we presented more than 20 unique paintings, which we gathered for the exhibition from various sources — museums, galleries, and private collectors. This gave the many guests attending the opening a chance to explore the evolution of Tarasin’s style over the course of 50 years!

We showcased works starting from his early pieces from the 1940s and 50s, which anticipated his later artistic directions, through the relief compositions of the 60s and 70s, marking a breakthrough in Tarasin’s development, and ending with paintings from the 70s to the early 21st century — the quintessence of his most renowned style.

The inauguration was also honored by the presence of Jan Tarasin’s son, which was a great distinction for us and a unique opportunity for our guests to meet the artist’s closest family.

We warmly invite you to visit the exhibition
“Jan Tarasin. Chains of Meanings,” open until April 30, 2023, at MOLSKI gallery&collection.
