OPENING OF THE EXHIBITION "JAN TARASIN. SEQUENCES OF MEANINGS" 23.03.2023
Last Thursday, March 23, 2023 at 6.00 pm
at the MOLSKI gallery&collection
we inaugurated the long-awaited retrospective exhibition "Jan Tarasin. Sequences of meanings".
Another exhibition in our space, this time dedicated to the outstanding classic of Polish contemporary art,
professor Jan Tarasin, met with a very positive reception. After all, it is the first individual exhibition in over
15 years of Jan Tarasin in Poznań.
At the vernissage, we presented over 20 unique paintings that we managed to obtain for the exhibition
in our gallery from many sides - from museums, galleries, and private collectors. In this way, numerous
guests who came to the vernissage could get acquainted with the evolution of Tarasin's style over the course
of almost 50 years!
We presented works, starting with those from the early 1940s and 1950s, announcing later trends
in the artist's work, through relief compositions from the 1960s and 1970s, constituting a borderline
moment in Tarasin's artistic development, as well as paintings from the period from the 1970s to the beginning
of the 21st century, which are the quintessence of Tarasin's style in its most famous artistic version.
The inauguration of the exhibition was also honored by the presence of Jan Tarasin's son, which was a great
honor for us, and for our guests a unique opportunity to meet the artist's immediate family.
We can only cordially invite you to visit the exhibition "Jan Tarasin. Sequences of Meanings”,
open until April 30, 2023, at the MOLSKI gallery&collection.
